Investment Philosophy

Long-term orientation, risk-adjusted returns, active management, quality.

  1. Long-Term Orientation

We believe that successful investing requires a long-term approach. We focus on building portfolios with a time horizon of minimum of several years, recognizing that short-term market fluctuations are inevitable and may not necessarily reflect the underlying value of the investments.

  2. Risk-Adjusted Returns

We seek to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns by carefully managing the risk exposure of our portfolios. We believe in diversification across asset classes, geographies, and investment styles to mitigate risk and optimize portfolio performance.

  3. Active Management

We believe in active investment management and continuously monitor the portfolio to make tactical adjustments based on changing market dynamics. We actively research and select investments that align with our investment thesis and seek to add value through careful security selection and risk management.

  4. Focus on Quality

We prioritize investments with a focus on quality. We seek investments with strong fundamentals, sound financials, and proven management teams. We conduct thorough due diligence and incorporate both quantitative and qualitative factors in our investment decision-making process.

  5. Transparency and Communication

We emphasize transparent communication to our stakeholders regular reporting on portfolio performance, market insights, and investment strategy updates.

  6. Risk Management

We implement comprehensive risk management practices to identify, measure, and manage risks associated with investments. We employ various risk mitigation techniques, such as diversification, hedging, and stop-loss orders, to manage downside risks and protect the portfolio from adverse market events.

  7. Continuous Learning and Improvement

We foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying updated with the latest market trends, investment research, and industry best practices. We strive to enhance our investment process and risk management techniques.

Portfolio Strategy

Stable return streams through detailed evaluation of each project.

A portfolio strategy aimed at building a project portfolio with stable return streams would prioritize detailed evaluation and due diligence of potential projects. Drawing on our experience from investment banking and business valuation, each project before inclusion in the portfolio.

Many of the details would need to be discussed in more detail.

In the areas of our core expertise would prefer projects that offer the ability to obtain direct access to management decisions, allowing for proactive involvement.

Additionally, considering the need for potential exits at the end of the investment period, we would prioritize interest-bearing securities, ideally with additional performance components, to optimize returns.

The Future of Energy

Data centres for artificial intelligence consume electricity on a scale that no grid was built for. Anyone planning such a site today is therefore no longer looking merely for a grid connection, but for a supply of their own: around the clock, clean, independent of weather and power lines. A new generation of reactors is emerging for exactly this purpose. Compact, transportable, built in the factory rather than erected on site, designed for data centres, industrial plants and properties that today protect themselves against outages with diesel generators.

The technology behind it has been proven since the nineteen sixties: a reactor using liquid salt instead of water, unpressurised, with no possibility of a meltdown in the conventional sense. A single hurdle prevented its return for sixty years: the purification of this salt. It has been solved, and the salt itself has thereby become the bottleneck of the industry. Every molten salt project in the world needs it, fusion research as well, and only very few can supply it. A leading fusion company has already paid for supply capacity in advance.

Here a product with present-day demand meets a technology that will change the power supply of industrial sites. We follow this field closely and welcome exchange with everyone working in it.

Education Technology

Investment opportunities in the education technology market include e-learning platforms that offer innovative solutions for personalized learning experiences, as the demand for online learning has increased significantly due to the shift towards digital and remote learning. There is also a growing demand for educational tools and applications that enhance the learning experience, presenting investment opportunities in companies that develop and market these technologies. Additionally, the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, including adaptive learning algorithms, automated grading systems, and intelligent tutoring systems, offers lucrative investment opportunities. Furthermore, global education and cross-border learning experiences are on the rise, and investing in this area can be promising. Finally, adaptive learning and personalized education, which offer customized learning experiences based on individual needs and learning styles, are gaining traction, presenting investment opportunities in EdTech companies that provide adaptive learning platforms, personalized learning algorithms, and customized content.

Risk Management

Risks identified, assessed and mitigated, before investing and continuously.

We implement comprehensive risk management practices to identify and manage all potential risks associated with each project in the portfolio. This can include financial risks, operational risks, market risks, legal risks, and other relevant risks.

Before investing or with a changing environment we evaluate the likelihood and impact of each identified risk on the projects and the overall portfolio through qualitative and quantitative analysis, considering factors such as probability of occurrence, potential impact on project performance, and time horizon.

We develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. This may include diversifying the portfolio to spread risks, implementing risk controls and safeguards, obtaining insurance coverage, utilizing contractual protections, and implementing contingency plans.

We continuously monitor the projects and the portfolio to identify new risks that may arise during the project lifecycle.
